Tsua-Lei-Dan (Documentary - 2012)
Tsua-Lei-Dan tells the story of Taiwan, the only modern democracy not recognized by the United Nations. After nearly five decades of oppression, the people of Taiwan must now face the challenges of the 21st century. The country remains divided between those who want to establish closer ties to China, and those who strive for independence and autonomy. Will Taiwan emerge as an example of thriving democracy in Asia, or will the west stand by as China asserts its claim to the island? This question and others will be explored by political icons Lee Teng-hui and Peng Ming-min, as well as other Taiwanese politicians, businessmen, musicians, filmmakers, and citizens.
